Things to do During Holiday Stroll Weekend in Seguin

Kick off the holidays with a collection of festive events!

On November 30th, Downtown Seguin quickly turns into a Winter Wonderland in preparation for some of our biggest holiday events of the season.

Holiday Stroll Lighted Parade | Thursday, November 30th 6:30pm

On Thursday, November 30th Seguinites and visitors from across Texas will find their spot along the route of the Holiday Stroll Parade. Starting at 6:30pm, 70+ floats decked out for the holidays will stroll down Austin Street to the delight of everyone in attendance. The parade route runs from College Street all the way south to Central Park. Be sure to stick around until the end so you don't miss Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Once the parade is over, grab your loved ones and head over to Central Park for food trucks and photos with Santa. When the time is right, Mayor Donna Dodgen will hit the switch to turn on all the sparkling holiday lights in Downtown. It's a magical moment you definitely don't want to miss!

Sip n' Stroll | Friday, December 1st 6pm-9pm

Hot cocoa lovers unite for this fun (and tasty) event. Downtown businesses compete to have the best hot cocoa recipe in town. Participants can wander around Downtown Seguin and taste samples of everyone's different take on the festive holiday drink and even vote for their favorite. There is sure to be fun for the whole family with live entertainment, horse-drawn wagon rides, photos with Santa, and more.

While you're sampling the delicious drinks, take advantage of the stores being open and get some early holiday shopping done!

North Pole Stroll | Saturday, December 2nd

On Saturday, grab the whole family and head Downtown for another day of holiday fun!

Kick off the morning with the Jingle Bell Run 5K then hang out in Central Park for North Pole Stroll. Enjoy a variety of kids activities, the cutest shoebox parade you've ever seen, and pictures with Santa. Vendors will be around the park selling unique gifts and of course our downtown businesses will be open to kick off the holiday shopping season!

30th Annual Holiday Heritage Tour of Homes

December 2, 2023 | 1:00 - 5:00 PM

Join The Conservation Society for an afternoon touring some of Seguin's most historic homes. Pop into seven different properties throughout Seguin to see them beautifully decorated for the holidays and experience a little of Seguin's unique history.

Christmas Concert at The Palace Theatre

December 2, 2023 | 7:30 - 9:30 PM

Close out your festive day on Saturday with a Christmas Concert at The Palace Theatre. Take 2 – Lupe Gonzales and Howard Hudiburg will be performing the songs from their Christmas Album, Our Christmas Gift, on Saturday, December 2 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. This is a free concert for all to come enjoy, so grab your holiday attire and spend an evening listening to festive holiday tunes.

Yulefest | Sunday, December 3rd 10am-4pm

Finish off the weekend with the most unique and creative shopping experience at Yulefest. Organized by the Seguin Art League, Yulefest gathers some of Seguin's most creative artists for a holiday market at the Seguin Coliseum. Get your early Christmas shopping done with the incredible selection of one-of-a-kind gifts!
