Baptist Ministers Union | January 11th at 7:00 pm

The Baptist Ministers Union will kick off Freedom Week with a night of worship and preaching with Seguin's very own ministers, honoring the preaching legacy of Reverend Martin Luther King.

Seguin ISD Choir Showcase | January 12th at 6:00 pm

Enjoy an evening of music at the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center. Starting at 6 pm, Seguin ISD Choirs will entertain attendees with performances of songs about freedom, peace, and equality.

Black Entrepreneurs Networking Mixer | January 12th at 8:00 pm

Join fellow Black Entrepreneurs for the first annual Networking Mixer at Court Street Coffee. This is a must-attend gathering for aspiring and established entrepreneurs who are passionate about building successful businesses. Connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and gain valuable insights from industry leaders.

Story Time at Seguin Public Library | January 13th at 11:00am

Join our guest reader, Mrs. Stacie Evans, for Storytime at the Seguin Public Library. Stacie will be reading Martin Luther King, Jr.: Civil Rights Leader by Grace Hansen, followed by I Have a Dream illustrated by Kadir Nelson, featuring excerpts from King's famous speech with beautiful oil-painting illustrations. Kadir Nelson has won multiple Coretta Scott King book awards and two Caldecott Honors for his illustrations. Finally, we will read The Peace Book by Todd Parr, by which the youngest children will come to understand the peace that MLK Jr. dreamed of.

MLK Social and Banquet | January 13th at 5:00pm

Spend an evening celebrating Dr. King's legacy with the Seguin Community. This event will have food, fellowship, a Stage Play, and recognition of local Civic Leaders.

MLK Gospel Fest | January 14th at 4:00pm

Join the community for an afternoon of worship with the Seguin Community Gospel Choir. This choir is a collection of local singers whose specialty is powerful gospel music. They have been rehearsing all year, so you definitely don't want to miss it!
