Fall in Love With Seguin

Celebrate the cooler weather this October with different fall-inspired food, merchandise, a visit to the FMC Seguin pumpkin patch, and more in downtown Seguin!

As we enter the month of October, we begin the season of crisp weather, warm food, spiced coffees, cozy sweaters, and all things that scream fall. In Seguin, we of course can't forget about one of our biggest fall events... Pecan Fest! Let's get into everything that Seguin has to offer you this month to make you 'FALL' in love with our town.

Pecantown Books & Brews- 212 S Camp St

For all of you booklovers, this is the perfect spot to find your next read and a tasty treat to go with it. At Pecantown, they have a ton of different options when it comes to what you are in the mood to read, eat, and drink. A must try item from their new fall menu would be the Caramel Pecan Cheesecake. (It's Seguin, of course we incorporate pecans into our dishes!) The sweet and rich flavor of the caramel mixed with the nutty hints of pecan infused in this dish makes it taste like a dream.

This meal is a classic that never disappoints on a chilly day! A grilled cheese sandwich from Amy's & Cathy's is exactly what you're looking for when you are wanting that first taste of fall to feel warm on the inside as it get's colder outside. The warm and savory bread with velvet smooth cheese melted between it will take you back to your childhood every bite you take. To make it even better, they have a soup of the day, and you may just be lucky enough to order the tomato basil soup along-side it. The rich and smoky taste from the tomatoes and the sweet and fresh taste from the basil creates a wonderful blend of flavor. A tasty duo that is the ultimate fall meal!

Sweater weather is finally approaching and The Mercantile has so many options to choose from. In Texas, we may not always be able to jump straight into our sweaters, but we do have fall graphic tees to show that we are ready for the new season! The Mercantile has an adorable display of their new graphic tees along with some long sleeves as well. You can also find some Halloween-themed items in the store such as, pumpkin plushies, velvet skulls, and spooky earrings. If you are looking for the perfect autumn outfit, this store in downtown is a great option!

Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo

It's that time of the year again...the fair and rodeo is back in town! An event this month that you won't want to miss is the annual Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo. Filled with live entertainment, tasty treats, carnival rides, games, a parade, and home art exhibits displayed by our local artisans. That's not all though, you will also get to watch cattle roping, mutton bustin', horseback riding, bull riding, and the stock show. This would be a great event for you and your whole family to attend to kick off the fall season. This event takes place on October 10-13, 2024. We hope to see you there!

Pecan Fest

Our most popular downtown event in October is the famous Pecan Fest! Here in Seguin, Texas we are known as the home of the "World's Largest Pecan". With a title like that, you know we have to throw an event to let everyone know it! At Pecan Fest we have hundreds of vendors for anything that you may be looking for. Such as snacks, clothes, decorations, furniture, soaps, art, face-painting, and so much more. There is also live music, games, and even a pecan-cracking contest! This family-friendly event is the perfect way to celebrate the season and to support our local artisans, musicians, and small businesses. Join us on October 26, 2024 to see what makes us fall in love with Seguin time and time again!
