Unveiling of the National Endowment for the Arts our Town Native American/Indigeous Community Creation of Art. 12:30 pm; unveiling at 1:00 pm with Land Acknowledgement and Permission by Dr. Mario Rocha of the Miakan-Garza Band, Indigenous Cultures Institute and NEA Our Town Committee Member, followed by Native American/Indigenous performance, explanation of the NEA Our Town Grant by Dr. Yvonne M. De La Rosa, recitation of the Creation Story by Elder Maria Rocha of the Miakan-Garza Band, Indigenous Cultures Institute and NEA Our Hometown Committee Member, artist talk by NEA Our Hometown Artist in Resident, Ruben Esquivel, followed by official unveiling and closing Thanksgiving Prayer, by Tecuancoatl "Ted" Herrera of the Tlaxcalteca Nation and affiliated tribes.
